The Medicine

About the treatment

Our retreats center on ibogaine, a plant-derived medicine studied for its ability to interrupt addiction and trauma patterns at the neurological level. Ibogaine is not a controlled substance under Mexican law, which allows licensed medical professionals to administer it in supervised clinical settings. Every veteran receives a full medical evaluation before treatment, continuous monitoring by a doctor and nurse during treatment, and structured integration and aftercare afterward.

Is the treatment safe?

Safety starts before arrival: full medical screening, then continuous monitoring by a doctor and nurse throughout treatment, and structured aftercare. Veterans with certain conditions may not qualify — that's what screening is for.

Is it legal?

Treatment takes place in Mexico, where ibogaine is not a controlled substance and can be administered by licensed medical professionals. It is not available in the United States.

Who qualifies?

U.S. military veterans seeking help with PTSD, depression, anxiety, or addiction. Medical screening is required for every applicant.

Does it replace my current treatment?

No. Many veterans report meaningful breakthroughs, but our program is not a cure and is not a substitute for care from your physician or the VA.
